London is worth a visit at any time of the year but at Christmas, we think it is particularly special. If you are joining us this year for our Christmas and New Year Course then you are in for a treat. There are so many wonderful things to see and do at this time of the year and many of them are free.
Let me introduce myself! My name is Cas Goertzen, and I’m an 18-year-old student from the Netherlands who went to Tti School of English for an internship period of 3 months. I love to play football and go to the gym in my spare time, and like to make new friends! Now my three months in England are almost over, and I’m really sad about the fact that I’m about to finish my internship period at Tti School of English.
On 5th November this year people across the UK will light bonfires, let off fireworks, and burn effigies of a man named Guy Fawkes. The reason they do this is that it is the anniversary of The Gunpowder Plot (1605); a failed attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London by a group of dissident Catholics.
